During the first days of the work, more than 1,000 people applied for help.

A local branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross was opened in Hostomel, which will work in the community and provide humanitarian support to the affected population. This was reported by the press service of the “Victory of Ukraine” charitable foundation, which became a partner of the organization.

The previous branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Hostomel was destroyed and looted by the Russian occupiers. The current premises, a building near a public transport stop, was provided by the foundation.

Repairs were made to the premises, the roof was repaired, electricity and water supply were restored, and the yard was cleaned up. Local developers and businessmen who suffered from the war joined in the assistance.

During the first days of the branch’s processing, more than 1 thousand people applied for help.

“People who need help will come to us. And as a result of the war, there were even more people who needed help. Currently, we will help disabled people of the first and second groups, displaced people, multi-child families and those whose housing was completely destroyed, as well as lonely elderly people, whom we continue to help,” Maria Samoliuk, a volunteer of the Red Cross branch in Hostomel said.
