The Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin aims to establish control over the Baltic Sea.

This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces, Micael Bydén.

According to him, Russia wants to gain control over the Swedish island of Gotland because whoever controls the island controls the sea.

Yesterday, it became known that the aggressor country has developed a draft resolution to unilaterally change maritime borders with Lithuania and Finland in the Baltic Sea.

According to the document, Moscow intends to declare parts of the waters in the eastern Gulf of Finland and near the cities of Baltiysk and Zelenogradsk in the Kaliningrad region as its internal maritime waters.

It should be noted that Russian military forces have begun exercises with “Iskander” missile systems and “Kinzhal” aeroballistic hypersonic missiles equipped with special warheads. These warheads contain tactical nuclear weapons.
