Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Rustem Umeryov, held talks with his Danish counterpart, Troels Lund Poulsen. The primary focus of the negotiations was the expedited delivery of F-16 fighter aircraft to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian official shared this information on his Facebook page.

In addition, the ministers discussed demining liberated territories, the training of Ukrainian military personnel, cooperation in implementing IT technologies in the Ukrainian military, and providing additional assistance. Denmark is one of the countries leading international coalition efforts to train pilots and support staff, maintain aircraft, and supply F-16s to Ukraine.

Also, Ukraine will receive F-16 fighter aircraft from the Netherlands. The United States has agreed to train Ukrainian pilots on these aircraft, and the Netherlands will transfer the majority of its 42 F-16s to Kyiv.

Additionally, Canada will also assist in the training of Ukrainian pilots. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed during the G7 summit that his country is prepared to provide assistance in this regard. The provision of F-16 fighter aircraft to Ukraine is a significant step in strengthening its defense capabilities. These aircraft will help the Ukrainian military better defend against Russian air strikes.
