Ukraine and Finland have signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Security and Long-Term Support. The President of Finland has already announced a package of military assistance, which will include air defense systems and artillery ammunition.

This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Today, together with President Alexander Stubb of Finland, we signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Security and Long-Term Support. This is a strong document confirming Finland’s readiness to continue supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression”, he noted.

According to the agreement, Finland will provide long-term military and financial assistance to Ukraine, as well as deepen cooperation in political and financial spheres and in the field of reforms. In addition, Finland, in particular, will assist Ukraine in rebuilding the energy sector, enhancing border protection and critical infrastructure, and treating Ukrainian soldiers. This is already the eighth country with which Ukraine has signed security agreements.

Earlier, it was reported that on Friday, March 1, President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands signed a bilateral agreement on security cooperation for the next 10 years. The agreement provides for €2 billion in military assistance from the Netherlands this year, as well as “further defense assistance over the next ten years”.
