On Friday, March 1st, President Volodymyr Zelensky and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte signed a bilateral agreement on security cooperation for the next 10 years.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported this.

The agreement provides for 2 billion euros in military assistance from the Netherlands this year, as well as “further defense assistance over the next ten years.”

This document also outlines priorities for assistance in the field of air defense, artillery, naval, and long-range weapons, with a special emphasis on strengthening the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It formalizes the Netherlands’ principled position on increasing sanctions against Russia, compelling it to compensate for damages, and holding the aggressor accountable.

According to the document, the Netherlands also supports Ukraine’s future membership in the EU and NATO.
