Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has said that Ukraine has begun to develop evacuation routes from Crimea for when the Ukrainian peninsula is liberated.

Quote from Podoliak: “It is clear that for Ukraine, the life of its citizens is an absolute priority. Therefore, we are already developing evacuation routes for residents of occupied Crimea who want to leave the peninsula during active liberation.”
Background:
- Recently, explosions in Russian-occupied Crimea have become more frequent. Blasts have been heard near Dzhankoi, in Simferopol, Sevastopol, Bakhchysarai, near Alupka and in Yevpatoria.
- The Business Insider, citing a secret NATO report, reported that Russia had decided to withdraw ten of its fighter jets from occupied Crimea after the explosions there. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are considered to be behind the attacks on Russian-occupied Crimea
- The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggested that Russia is withdrawing military equipment from Crimea after the strikes performed by Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as strengthening air defences on the occupied peninsula.
