Ukraine has been producing strike drones, which are analogous to the ‘Shahed’, on a serial basis for several months

Since August 2023, Ukraine has been serially manufacturing long-range kamikaze drones, which are similar in technical characteristics to the 'Shahed'

This was reported by the Minister of Strategic Industries, Alexander Kamishin, during a meeting with journalists.

“The country had developments since 2016 that, for some reason, were not put into production. We launched mass production. Currently, we are producing them by the dozens. Next year, the Armed Forces may receive over a thousand of these drones, capable of flying over 1000 kilometers”, said Kamishin.

He also emphasized that the defense sector is currently capable of producing dozens of such kamikaze drones, and in the future, it will further expand its capabilities. The minister also confirmed President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement that the defense industry may produce a million FPV drones next year.

“Additionally, according to Kamishin, Ukraine plans to significantly increase the production of 155 mm caliber shells next year. However, everything will depend on the delivery of gunpowder.
