Ukraine has halted the export of electricity to neighboring countries due to the need to meet its own domestic consumption requirements.

This information was reported by the National Power Company “Ukrenergo”.

“The absence of electricity exports from Ukraine is associated with the necessity to meet the country’s internal consumption needs throughout the day and ensure reserves for the evening hours of peak consumption”, the statement reads.

According to the energy company, in order to ensure the stable operation of the energy system during the evening hours, specifically from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, it is necessary to use electricity sparingly and efficiently.

“If possible, shift your consumption to the morning, daytime, or nighttime, reduce the use of high-powered electrical appliances during the evening hours. This will make it easier for Ukrenergo dispatchers to maintain the balance between electricity production and consumption during the hours of highest demand”, emphasized “Ukrenergo”.

The company assured that the current production of electricity is sufficient to meet consumer demand.
