Ukraine launched the Future Perfect program, which aims to make English the language of international communication in the country.
This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.
The program includes a wide range of products and services designed to help Ukrainians learn the English language. Among them are:
- The Empower platform from the University of Cambridge, which is available to Ukrainian teachers and students.
- The Promova language learning platform, offering Ukrainians premium access to all language courses for three years.
- Other products and services will be announced in the future.
The Future Perfect program will be open to everyone, regardless of their financial status or place of residence. The language program will be coordinated by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
The initiator of the program is the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. He believes that the English language is the key to Ukraine’s integration into Europe and the United States.
The American publication Politico, citing the U.S. strategy for Ukraine, stated that Washington believes Ukraine will be able to integrate into Europe and strengthen its ties with the United States through the English language. The United States is offering assistance to the Ministry of Education to improve the quality of English language education beyond the current level.
