Law enforcement agencies have collected evidence against Magomed Daudov, the head of parliament in the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, and informed him of the suspicion.

“The suspect is part of Kadyrov’s inner circle and follows his orders to conduct aggressive warfare against our state”, the statement said.
It was noted that since May 2022, Daudov has been forming new assault units of Russia that are located in the North Caucasus. He reportedly helped create the “78th Motorized Special Purpose Regiment North-Akhmat”, as well as the battalions “South-Akhmat”, “West-Akhmat”, and “East-Akhmat”.
The mobilized soldiers undergo military training at the university of special units in the city of Gudermes in the Chechen Republic, and are then sent to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
“Daudov repeatedly personally visited the temporarily occupied territories of Lysychansk, Popasna, and Mariupol from July to November last year. There, he met with leaders of newly formed Kadyrov’s units and called for active combat operations against the Defense Forces”, the SBU writes.
The criminal also spread speeches by Kadyrov justifying Russia’s armed aggression in Ukraine on his own Telegram channel. The suspect was informed of the suspicion of complicity in conducting aggressive warfare, committing deliberate acts to change the borders of Ukraine, and spreading materials with justifications of war as a public official. Daudov is currently in Russia.
