Currently, seven countries have provided Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine: Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, and Canada.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov.
“So far, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received about two battalions, with 30 tanks in each battalion, totaling about 60 units”, Reznikov noted.
Additionally, Ukraine is set to receive at least 170 Leopard 1 tanks of the latest modification. The allies are ready not only to provide Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine but also to assist in their restoration in case of damage on the battlefield.
Previously, we reported that a service center for maintenance and repair of Leopard 2 tanks, which were transferred to Ukraine, will be operational in the Polish city of Gliwice in May.
