Ukraine has successfully returned the bodies of 79 more fallen defenders of Ukraine from temporarily occupied territories.
This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration.
“Today, we managed to bring home the bodies of 79 Ukrainian defenders who were killed. The transfer of the bodies from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine was facilitated by the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons, in cooperation with the law enforcement agencies. It should be noted that the transfer of the bodies of the deceased military personnel is carried out in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Conventions”, the statement said.
It is noted that the bodies of the defenders will be handed over to their families for a dignified burial.
Earlier, we reported that on May 5, Ukraine returned the bodies of 80 fallen defenders.
