Ukraine is developing unmanned underwater torpedoes that will have several versions and can carry up to 5 tons of explosives

This is reported by “Militarny”.

One of the prototypes was presented at the BRAVE1 exhibition. The torpedoes will be named Toloka, abbreviated as TLK. The range of such a drone should be 2,000 kilometers.

The manufacturer notes that the torpedoes can be in standby mode for up to 3 months. If it is jammed, it will automatically identify the jamming zone. The torpedo will also automatically scan the area for underwater mines and can be directed using GPS.

There are currently three versions under development: TLK 150, TLK 400, and TLK 1000. They will have different lengths, range, and explosive weight – from 20-50 kilograms to 5 tons.

The underwater unmanned torpedo will be more effective than surface unmanned vehicles, as it will be difficult to detect visually and destroy with various types of small arms.

It should be noted that on April 24, Sevastopol was attacked by surface unmanned vehicles. The occupation authorities of Sevastopol claimed that they were destroyed on approach.
