Ukraine will receive 30 F-16 fighters from Belgium, which the country has committed to provide by 2028.

This was reported by RTL, citing the words of Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib.

According to the minister, the delivery of the aircraft will continue until 2028, with the first ones arriving by the end of this year.

Additionally, the Belgian Ministry of Defense will supply ammunition from its stockpiles to equip the F-16s for Ukraine.

Hadja Lahbib stated that this support for Kyiv is necessary to ensure Belgium’s security and to stop the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, who she says is “determined to push back the borders of European countries”.

It should be noted that this commitment will be officially formalized in a security guarantees agreement that Ukraine and Belgium will sign today.
