Combat drones damaged the production base at the Smolensk Aviation Plant in Russia, where X-59 missiles are manufactured.

This was reported by a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, during a telethon.

“Yes, the production base has been damaged, and the production pace has been disrupted, causing serious problems for the aggressor. We confirm this fact, and such practices will continue”, he said.

However, Yusov did not comment on who was responsible for the strike or where it originated from.

He did mention that the missiles produced at this plant were the ones primarily used against civilian objects in Ukraine’s infrastructure and posed a threat to the lives of Ukrainian civilians and defenders.

As we previously reported, on October 1st, combat drones targeted the Russian Smolensk Aviation Plant, where X-59 missiles are manufactured, with three out of four drones successfully hitting the target.
