President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed confidence that the country will receive planes after the offensive.
He said this at a press conference in Finland.
“We need them, we need them very much. Will we have them and why do I believe we will? I am sure. But this is war, and we must constantly prove it on the battlefield. First, we move forward and show that it is impossible to capture us in three days, and then they give us some weapons. Then we move forward again and ask for long-range artillery. After that, we are given the appropriate weapons”, said the head of state.
Zelensky expressed confidence that Ukraine will eventually receive fighter jets: “Because soon we will have offensive actions. And after that, I am sure they will give us planes. I would like it to be the other way around because it would be easier for us. But it is as it is, and we are grateful for that”.
As it is known, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived on an official visit to Finland. Zelensky will also participate in the Ukraine and Scandinavian countries summit in Finland. It will be attended by the prime ministers of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland. They will all also hold bilateral meetings with Zelensky. Finland has announced the preparation of two military aid packages to Kyiv.
