On May 30, 2024, the special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "Group 13," using Ukrainian strike sea drones Magura V5, once again successfully attacked Russian vessels in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine reported this.
It was noted that two boats were destroyed using Magura V5 sea drones.
To neutralize the strike sea drones approaching Vuzka Bay, Russian occupiers in Crimea scrambled combat aviation 32 times, including Su-27/30/35 aircraft, MiG-29, Be-12, An-26, and Ka-27/29 and Mi-8 helicopters.
The Main Intelligence Directorate added that the Russians chaotically used small arms and 30-mm cannons.
“However, nothing hindered the special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine from successfully completing the combat mission: as a result of the strike, two Russian boats were destroyed — according to preliminary data, high-speed transport and landing KS-701 ‘Tunyets’ boats”, the report states.
It should be reminded that since the beginning of 2024, the “Group 13” special unit, using Magura V5 strike sea drones, has already destroyed the Russian missile ship “Ivanovets,” the large landing ship “Caesar Kunikov,” the corvette “Sergey Kotov,” and the high-speed patrol boat “Mangust.”
