The train Kyiv — Lutsk — Kyiv will depart every day, except Wednesday, at 07:25, arriving in Lutsk at noon.
This is reported on the “Ukrzaliznytsia” website.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that this will be the first high-speed route connecting Rivne and Lutsk with the capital of Ukraine.
From Kyiv, train #755/756 Kyiv — Lutsk — Kyiv will depart every day, except Wednesday, at 07:25, arriving in Rivne at 11:54 and in Lutsk at 13:12. In the return direction, the train will also run every day, except Wednesday. It will depart from Lutsk at 15:20, from Rivne at 16:25 and arrive in Kyiv at 20:42.
In the 6-car electric train of Czech production, Skoda, the crew part, braking equipment, and all support systems were repaired.
The interior has been updated: the floor covering was replaced, the chairs were moved, the windows were replaced, the interior panels were repainted, and many other works were carried out.
The train is equipped with sockets with USB connectors for each passenger, tables in the main cars, ramps, and places for transporting people with disabilities, bike racks, CCTV, air conditioning, ventilation, fire alarm and fire extinguishing systems, vacuum toilets.
The train also has a cafe, an online library and QR codes for feedback on the service.
The work was carried out at the Kyiv Electric Carriage Repair Plant PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia JSC. A Czech manufacturing company was also involved in the repair of the train. In particular, Czech specialists repaired motor bogies, braking equipment and other components of the electric train.
“This is already the second Skoda double-decker electric train that we repaired and returned to the route. These trains had not been operated for five years, as they needed significant repairs,” Oleksandr Kamyshin, chairman of the management board of the JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” said.
