In the Simferopol district, a section of the railway track was destroyed, causing several train cars to derail and halting train traffic.
Russian media reported this information.
“The explosion on the railway in the Simferopol district of Crimea occurred at 8:20 in the morning. As a result, five grain-filled train cars derailed. The movement of electric trains on the Simferopol-Sevastopol section has been suspended”, the post stated.
It is specified that the incident took place near the village of Chistenke. Approximately 50 meters of railway track were damaged, with a large crater discovered at the site of the explosion. In total, eight train cars derailed, five of which overturned.
Previously, it was reported that a Russian Mi-28 helicopter crashed in Crimea. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the preliminary cause of the crash was technical failure.
