Documents can be restored through "Diia" App.

During the war, many Ukrainians lost their documents or did not have time to take them from home, escaping from the shelling of the Russian occupiers. On the “Diia” app, there is an opportunity to apply to receive duplicate documents, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov reported .

He emphasized that now it is not necessary to go twice to the State Registration of Acts of Civil Status and stand in queue to receive duplicate certificates.

Fedorov published a video with detailed instructions for submitting an application for the reissuance of such documents:

  • birth certificates and extracts;
  • death certificates and extracts;
  • change of name;
  • registration of marriage or divorce.

For example, to issue a request for reissuance of a birth certificate on the portal, you must:

  • log in to the “Diya” portal;
  • select “Certificates and Extracts” in the “Services” menu;
  • select the document;
  • check the data about the applicant (you can issue documents both for yourself and for your closest relatives);
  • specify for whom the document is needed and the reason for re-issuance;
  • fill in data about the owner of the birth certificate;
  • specify data about parents;
  • choose a convenient option of obtaining a certificate: at the Registration of Acts of Civil Status branch, “Ukrposhta” (46 hryvnias) or by courier delivery at the address (66 hryvnias);
  • pay for the service.

After the specified steps, a notification about the readiness of the document should come, the Ministry of Digital said.

The principle of applying for duplicate documents from the above list is almost the same.
