Russians are starting to transfer reinforcements to Bakhmut due to the Ukrainian military's counteroffensive actions.

This opinion was expressed by Colonel (retired) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Roman Svitan in a live broadcast on the “Kyiv” TV channel.

“The occupiers are transferring reinforcements from Donetsk to Bakhmut. This is happening due to the increase in counteroffensive actions by our military. The same thing can happen if we start moving in other places. The same actions started in Orikhove when our troops went on a reconnaissance mission. Maybe soon we’ll start moving towards Kreminna and Bilohorivka. By the way, Bilohorivka is a big problem for them. If the movement starts from Bilohorivka towards Lysychansk, or especially towards Popasna, then the Russians will have to leave Bakhmut. Because in this case, there will be a threat of encirclement”, Svitan believes.

As previously reported, heavy fighting is ongoing in Bakhmut, with the Russians conducting up to 40-50 assaults and over 500 shelling of the city daily.
