President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived on a visit to Moldova, where he was greeted by the President of the country, Maia Sandu.
The President announced this in his own Telegram channel.
As it is known, today the summit of the European Political Community will take place in the village of Bulboaca at the “Mimi Castle”. President of Ukraine has planned many bilateral meetings.
“We are developing a coalition of destroyers and propose the “Patriots” coalition. EU, NATO, the peace formula. Everything for the protection of our future”, the President stated.
The President’s personal participation in the summit was not officially confirmed until the last moment due to security reasons. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova stated that information about Zelensky’s participation should be classified due to the President’s direct security.
However, yesterday, on May 31, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Nicu Popescu, confirmed Zelensky’s participation in the summit.
It is expected that nearly fifty European presidents and heads of governments will attend the summit.
At the second meeting of the European Political Community, they will discuss joint efforts for peace in the context of the war in Ukraine and the crises associated with it, the defense of democracy, strengthening energy security, and the resilience of European states.
It is also known that NATO will protect the airspace of Moldova during the summit of the European Political Community, where over 40 European leaders will participate near the borders of Ukraine to demonstrate their support for both countries.
