President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Romania for an official visit.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Bucharest, Romania. An official visit to our good neighbors who supported us in the most challenging moments, and whose support continues to grow”, he commented.

Zelensky noted that he looks forward to meeting his Romanian counterpart, Klaus Iohannis, and “we have a wide range of topics for discussions”.

The President of Ukraine also expressed gratitude to Romania for its support. “First and foremost, Ukraine is grateful to Romania for sincere and extensive assistance, which significantly strengthens our defense. Also, for the highly constructive solidarity that allows our countries to be significant security donors to peace, including in the field of food. We have already established cooperation that supports the stability of many other nations, and we can further expand it”, said Zelensky.

He added that in Romania, discussions will focus on further security cooperation, the development of aviation and other defense coalitions, strengthening air defense, as well as issues related to a shared security architecture in the Black Sea region and relations with partners.

It’s worth noting that President Zelensky’s visit to Romania was announced by the office of the Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on September 9th.
