The law, which was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada during the third summit of the Crimean Platform.

This has been announced by the representation of the President of Ukraine in Crimea.

The main goal of the law is to prepare the groundwork for the de-occupation of the peninsula, as military and military-civil administrations are being established to operate within the territorial communities.

The draft law was developed by the Representation jointly with the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development, and Urban Planning.

After the law comes into effect, which will be the day after its official publication, decisions adopted by the parliament in 2016 and 2020 regarding decommunization and the introduction of a new district division of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea will also be implemented.

Thus, the law also instructs the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to, within one month, determine the territories and administrative centers of territorial communities in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and within three months, to establish district state administrations for the new districts and submit a draft law to the parliament on the specifics of restoring public authority in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea after de-occupation.

Previously, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Saudi Arabia and spoke at the summit of the League of Arab States. According to the President, at the summit, they emphasized our priorities: the return of all political prisoners from Crimea and temporarily occupied territories, the return of all detainees and unlawfully deported individuals, and the presentation of our peace formula, which requires the involvement of as many states as possible, and ensuring energy security for the upcoming winter.
