Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Ukrainian intelligence has received information about Russia preparing a destabilization campaign in Ukraine, codenamed "Maidan 3".
Zelensky shared this information in a comment to Bloomberg.
“Our intelligence has information that also came from our partners”, he noted.
The president stated that Moscow aims to sow division within Ukrainian society, creating “chaos” within the country and ultimately removing the president. The campaign has been named “Maidan 3,” referring to the central square in Kyiv, which was the focal point of uprisings in 2004 and 2014. The latter played a role in the ousting of the Russia-backed President Viktor Yanukovych.
“For them, Maidan is a coup, so the operation is clear”, he emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelensky once again rejected talks with the leader of the aggressor country. He stated that his government would not even consider anything resembling a frozen conflict.
