Russian occupiers are fully bogged down in battles for Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region.
This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
He also mentioned that the occupiers have suffered significant losses in the personnel of their assault units. Currently, they are attempting to deploy reserves to support their assault operations, but without success.
“In the area of Lyptsi, the enemy has also suffered substantial losses and has transitioned to active defense, engaging in mining and artillery strikes on our troops’ positions. In the Kupiansk direction, battles continue in the forested area north of the city. The situation is challenging in the Kyslivka area, where the enemy is attempting to break through our defense and reach the Oskil River”, he said.
It is worth noting that on the morning of May 23, Russian forces launched a massive missile strike on the city of Kharkiv. More than ten explosions were reported, and civilians were killed.
