Ukrainian forces continue to clear the strip on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, but an information silence is needed until the end of combat operations.
This was stated by spokesperson for the South Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk during a telethon.
“We are managing to destroy enemy artillery installations, tanks, armored vehicles, and air defense systems. That is, our work in clearing the same strip, the frontline strip of the left bank, is very powerful. But we are currently only working in counter-battery mode”, she said.
Humeniuk stated that Ukrainian defenders have achieved successes in the south over the past three days, destroying from 13 to 22 units of military equipment in that direction.
At the same time, the spokesperson emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers need information silence until the end of their combat missions. She urged Ukrainians not to comment on the work of the Armed Forces, to believe in good news, and to support the defenders.
Earlier, the American Institute for War Studies suggested that Ukrainian forces had taken positions on the left bank of the Kherson region, but Ukrainian military did not confirm or deny this information at that time.
